As if we needed any more excuses to visit the Balkan beauty, Croatia just so happens to host grand festivities for St. Patrick’s Day.

 

Goran Antonijević, St. Patrick’s aficionado from Split, says more and more Croatians are getting into the green spirit. “I think it’s because we’re very similar to the Irish. We love to have a good time.” He recommends spending St. Patrick’s in Split, Zagreb and Brač.

 

Don’t miss Zagreb’s parade, which pays tribute to the holiday’s roots, with Irish food and music. Croatians also add their own touch, with generous pints of Pan, their traditional brew.
